Nettle is a herbaceous plant native to Greece which has been known since ancient times for its diuretic and rejuvenating properties as it removes toxins from the body. Its scientific name, Urtica, comes from the Latin verb urere, meaning “to burn,” due to the burning sensation caused to the skin by contact with the plant, a property that exists to protect it and gives it its beneficial properties. In fact, according to the European Medicines Agency, nettle is officially considered a traditional herbal medicine both for its diuretic properties and for the relief of mild joint pain along with the treatment of seborrheic dermatitis.

Nettle grows in soils rich in nitrates, which give it all the properties that make it so special. Part of the quantity comes from wild populations of the species growing on the continent. In order not to damage the delicate stems of the plants, our nettles are hand-picked on the farm of a cooperating producer.

Hot beverage
Use just enough water to fill your cup. Take care of the environment and do not exceed 90 degrees. Immerse the pyramid in boiling water for 3-5 minutes or as long as you wish. It is best to cover the mug to maximize the flavours and active ingredients of the beverage. Then remove the pyramid and add Symbeeosis Honey or another natural sweetener if desired.

Cold drink
Prepare as for the hot drink with half the amount of water and top off with cold water or ice cubes.

Leave the 3 pyramids in a 750ml jug of cold water in the fridge for 24 hours and enjoy all the flavours of this unique brewing method.
